Do original receipts still need to be kept, and for how many years?
Records need to be retained but not necessarily as originals
Under IRAS and ACRA/Companies Act requirements, businesses must keep accounting records and supporting documents (invoices, receipts, bank statements, etc.) for at least 5 years, counted from the end of the financial year in which the transaction falls, not from the transaction date itself.
