Extension of time (EOT) for Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Annual Return (AR)

If you need to delay holding the Annual General Meeting (AGM) or filing the Annual Return (AR), an Extension of Time (EOT) of up to 60 days can be filed.

Who can apply for an Extension of time (EOT)?

The EOT application can be made by a company officer (e.g. company secretary or director), or by a professional firm on behalf of your company.

How soon must you apply for EOT? How long does it take for ACRA to process the application?

You must make the EOT application before your AGM/annual return deadline. ACRA may require up to 14 working days to process the EOT application.

How much does it cost to apply for an Extension of time (EOT)?

The fee for the EOT application is SGD 200 for Annual General Meeting (AGM) and SGD 200 for Annual Return (AR).

If you wish to apply for both, the fee is SGD 400.

In light of the COVID-19 situation, ACRA will grant a 60-day extension of time for all listed and non-listed companies whose AGMs are due during the period 16 April 2020 to 31 July 2020.

The Annual Return filing due dates for the period 1 May 2020 to 31 August 2020 for all listed and non-listed companies will also be extended for 60 days.

You do not need to apply for the extension of time through ACRA. You will automatically be given the extension. (Source: ACRA)
